This is the first

This is the first entry into a new journal. I decided to try this one after I stumbled upon the website while researching. I loved the fact that it does not use the word 'blog.' That is such a nasty, ugly short little snort of a word. And, while on the subject of words... I am considering going to the BookNook and Java Shop's Open Mic night tonight to read some of my poetry. The crowd there is not 'into' the darker, more gripping topics that I write on. It's a more folksy, sing-songy group that plays acoustic guitars and read poetry, often written by others. And, this is not to say that that all does not have it's place, but they just are'nt as receptive of a darker genre piece when someone just sang a Bob Dylan tune. Ah well... the coffee is good, and the atmosphere is great. Nothing like a group of Creatives!
